Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III ‘the Great’. 336-323 BC. AR Drachm (4.00g, 17mm). Magnesia ad Maeandrum mint. Struck under Antigonos I Monophthalmos, struck circa 319-305. Obv.: head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev.: ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟ[Υ], Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, monogram of ΠΑ; below throne, monogram.
