Ionia, Herakleia ad Latmon. Circa 140-135 BC. AR Tetradrachm (15.41g, 33mm). Stephanophoric type. Obv.: head of Athena to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet decorated with Pegasos springing to right above the foreparts of five galloping horses and a long tendril on the bowl, triple-pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev.: HPAKΛEΩTΩN, club to right; below, Nike advancing left, holding wreath in her right hand, between two monograms; all within oak wreath. SNG von Aulock 1978; SNG Copenhagen 781. Toned VF.
