Celtic Eastern Europe. Alexander III ‘the Great’. 336-323 BC. AR Drachm (3.31g, 15.5mm). Celtic imitation of Amphipolis mint. Obv.: head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin. Rev.: AΛEΞANΔPOY, Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and sceptre. Controls: In left field, Λ above torch; M below throne. Cf. Price 455 (for prototype). Small black deposit on reverse, VF.
