Attica, Aegina (Island). Circa 525/0-500 BC. AR Stater (12.74g, 19mm). Obv.: sea turtle with countermark of an Archaic female head within incuse circle. Rev.: quadripartite incuse square with sections of irregular trapezoidal form. Asyut Group VIb; for countermark, CNG MBS 82, lot 516. Very rare countermark plus few more punch marks, c/m aVF; coin toned F.
